Our coffee shop is a social business owned by Mae Chan Tai village community (51%) and Japanese NPO Promotion of Self-reliance in Asia :GIAPSA (49%). We participate in attaining the goals of SDGs, especially for eradicating poverty, hunger and inequality. Hill tribes constitute one of the largest disadvantaged groups who suffer from poverty and inequality in South-east Asia. Fifty (50) % of the net profit of the coffee shop will be donated to the Mae Chan Tai Village Community for its community -based social welfare, economic and environmental activities, and remaining 50% will be used for other social welfare activities in Thailand.
Mae Chan Tai Arabica coffee is produced at high altitude of 1400-1500 meters above sea level in Chiang Rai Province by Aka tribal community in Mae Chan Tai village in Mae Suay District of Chiang Rai Province which is known among coffee specialists as one of the best qualities and tasty coffee beans in Thailand and received 3rd winner award in 2020 at the national specialty coffee competition. In 2023, Mae Chan Tai Coffee received 3rd, 5th, 6th winner awards at the Thailand National Specialty Coffee Competition.
